Old caravans.
Different windows.
Similar window hardware was used across Australian caravan makes in the 1970s, including some Viscount and Millard installations. Vicarr-style ribs around the outer frame can help identify the window family. Match the actual latch and mounting points, rather than relying on the caravan make or year alone. The turn-handle works the latch that holds the window closed; a winder, where fitted, opens the window.
Vicarr-style windows appeared on some 1970s Viscount caravans. Match this rotary LOCK/OPEN latch and its mounting points, rather than relying on caravan age alone.
Restoring a Viscount or Millard?
Start with the hardware on your window. Compare the latch body, handle, hook, catch and mounting points with our photographs. Older caravans can have different or replacement windows, so the fitting itself is the best guide.
The complete latch kit has been printed and fit-tested on a matching window. Send us a photo if you would like help identifying your fitting.

Know the mechanism.
A wind-out window opens using a winder; a push-out panel is moved by hand. This replacement is identified by its turn-handle latch pattern. Match the latch itself, rather than choosing by the opening method alone.
- 02
Match the mounting points.
Compare your existing latch profile, fixing-hole spacing and clearances with the photographs, then check the measurements on your own window. The body, hook and catch need to work together on your frame.

BEFORE YOU ORDER
A few
useful answers.
What comes with the catch-only offer?
One printed catch and two rivets. The body, handle and hook are not included. Choose light grey or black, then open the matching eBay listing to order.
How do I check the catch matches my window?
Compare your existing catch profile, fixing-hole spacing, clearance and the way the hook meets the catch. The mounted-face photograph shows its position at a frame; it does not show latch engagement. Send us a photo if you would like help comparing the fitting.
Is it available as part of a complete kit?
Yes. The complete latch kit includes the body, handle, hook and catch, with screws and rivets. Both offers are shown in light grey and black.
